In the late autumn of 2020, the life of Wendy Joyner, a 45-year-old woman from Charleston, South Carolina, took a turn that left her family and community with lingering questions. The last confirmed sighting of Wendy was on November 30, 2020. On that day, she was reportedly involved in an altercation in front of Murray's Mortuary in North Charleston before she walked off.
