Amber Swartz-Garcia was just 7 years old when she was last seen on June 3, 1988, playing jump rope in the front yard of her home in Pinole, California. Her mother, Kim Swartz, had allowed her to play outside for a short period while waiting for their neighbors to return home. When Kim checked on Amber 15 minutes later, she had vanished. Despite extensive searches, Amber was never found, and her case became one of the most well-known child abduction cases in the region.
