Shane Walker, a 19-month-old toddler, disappeared on August 10, 1989, while playing in a park with his mother in the Harlem neighborhood of New York City. Shane’s mother, Rosa Glover, had taken him to the Martin Luther King Jr. Towers playground, where two older children, a 10-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, asked to play with him. Glover briefly conversed with a man on a nearby bench, but when she turned her attention back to the playground, Shane and the two children were gone.
