Leigh Occhi, a 13-year-old girl from Tupelo, Mississippi, disappeared on the morning of August 27, 1992, amid the chaos of Hurricane Andrew. Leigh was last seen by her mother, Vickie Felton, at around 7:35 a.m. before Vickie left for work. Leigh was supposed to attend a school open house later that day, and her grandmother was scheduled to pick her up. However, when her mother called home around 8:30 a.m., Leigh did not answer.
