John Thistlewood, a 37-year-old man from Philadelphia, was last seen on the evening of September 11, 1992. On that day, Thistlewood dropped off his two children at a relative's house in the South American Street area of Philadelphia, telling his family that he would return shortly to pick them up. He was wearing a red silk shirt, black jeans, and black sneakers, which suggested he may have been dressed for an outing.
