Valarie Lynn Sloan, 18, was last seen in Peoria, Illinois, on September 30, 1993. She disappeared without a trace and is presumed to have been a victim of serial killer Joseph Miller, who has been convicted of multiple murders. In 2004, Miller confessed to killing Valarie, claiming he buried her body in a shallow grave near a road construction site on War Memorial Drive, which was being widened at the time of her disappearance.
