Franklin Wayne Harrod Jr., known to friends and family as "Punkie," was last seen on July 28, 1997, at his home in Rose Hill, Kansas. Franklin lived with his wife, Kelly, and their two daughters. Despite his close relationships with his children and family, he vanished without a trace. Kelly reported him missing a few days later, after he failed to show up for his first day at a new job.
Suspicion grew when Kelly attempted to access his bank account and sell his belongings shortly after his disappearance.
Investigators later uncovered a disturbing plot. Kelly, along with her friends Jerry and Tammy Trussell, conspired to kill Franklin. According to court testimony, Kelly had complained about her troubled marriage and agreed to the plan in exchange for favors. On the day of the murder, Tammy shot Franklin on Jerry’s command, and the trio buried his body near the Walnut River, though his remains were never found.
In 2001, Tammy confessed to her role in the murder and led police to the burial site, but only a tarp was recovered. Tammy and Kelly both accepted plea deals, while Jerry was convicted in 2007. He remains in prison, but the exact location of Franklin's body is still unknown.Last Seen: Jul 28, 1997
