Cynthia Bulmer, 40, was last seen on the evening of March 26, 1998, in Lockport, New York. She was at Kendzies Restaurant on Main Street around 10:30 p.m., leaving with two African American men, both of whom were later identified but have since passed away. One of the men was her on-and-off boyfriend, who was murdered sometime after her disappearance, and the other died in prison in 2001.
At the time of her disappearance, Cynthia lived alone in an apartment on Ontario Street, just a few blocks from the restaurant. Her involvement with drugs and prostitution led investigators to believe that her lifestyle may have played a role in her vanishing. She was not reported missing until several days later, complicating the search. Despite numerous searches and investigative efforts over the years, Cynthia has never been found, and foul play is strongly suspected in her case.
