Ladana Renee Wiley, a 27-year-old woman, was last seen on January 1, 2000, in New Boston, Texas. That evening, her mother dropped her off at her home around 8:30 p.m. Ladana appeared nervous and jittery as she exited the vehicle. About an hour later, her mother attempted to call her, but there was no response. Ladana had plans to attend a birthday celebration the following day but never showed up, and she has not been seen or heard from since.

When authorities investigated, there were no signs of forced entry into her home. However, all of her personal belongings, including her clothing and makeup, were left behind, except for a missing set of keys. Her disappearance has raised suspicions of foul play, although no definitive evidence has been found to confirm this theory. A search conducted in June 2000 turned up reddish-brown hair near Lake Wright Patman, but no additional evidence was discovered to link it to Ladana.

To this day, Ladana Wiley's case remains unsolved, and authorities continue to investigate. The New Boston Police Department and Texas Missing Persons Clearinghouse are urging anyone with information to come forward to help solve this enduring mystery.
