James Clemons, a 72-year-old truck driver from Brooklyn, New York, disappeared on June 17, 2000, while on a work-related trip. Clemons, who had been employed by the same trucking company for a decade, was responsible for yard maintenance but was assigned to deliver a truck to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He expressed some anxiety about the trip due to recent memory lapses, possibly connected to the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Despite this, he agreed to make the delivery.
