Claudia Darlene Shepherd, aged 40, was last seen on August 13, 2001, in Zephyrhills, Florida. On that day, she dropped her four-year-old daughter off at daycare. Shepherd, who also went by the name Darlene, was in a troubled marriage with Earl Bamber, who had a long history of criminal activity, including charges for violent crimes.
