On a Tuesday in late September of 2002, a 20-year-old woman named Heather Rena Sellars was dropped off for her shift at the Waffle House on Highway 9 and Interstate 85 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It was the last time her family would see her. Heather had with her a bag containing her work uniform and a change of clothes, as she planned to spend the night at her aunt's house.
