Teresa Taber, a 42-year-old woman from Spartanburg, South Carolina, was last seen on August 7, 2002. She left her residence that day to walk to a nearby store to buy cigarettes, but she never returned. Her boyfriend, Michael E. Culbreth, reported her missing three days later on August 10. According to his account, she had never stayed out overnight before, and she had even told him that if she didn’t return in an hour, something was wrong.
