Monica Carrasco, a 16-year-old from Balmorhea, Texas, was last seen on October 1, 2003, at her aunt and uncle’s home. She was staying with them following a disagreement with her mother. On the night of her disappearance, Monica went to bed around 11 p.m. Her cousins checked on her at 1:30 a.m., and she was still asleep. However, by the morning of October 2, she was gone. The only items missing were her beige nightgown and her Bible, while her shoes and socks were left behind.
