At the time of his disappearance, Keyes stood about 5'7" and weighed between 135 and 160 pounds. He had graying brown hair, often worn in a ponytail, a gray mustache, and a full beard. He was also blind in his left eye, which drooped noticeably, and had a scar on his neck from a tracheotomy and another on his knee, where his kneecap had been removed.
