In the fall of 2007, a 17-year-old named Joseph Osell Frazier vanished in Tukwila, Washington. He was last seen on October 24, 2007, a day that began with a police pursuit and ended in his disappearance. Joseph, a Black male with short black hair and brown eyes, was reportedly driving a stolen vehicle with two other individuals when they were spotted by law enforcement. After pulling over, all three fled on foot. While his companions were quickly apprehended, Joseph continued to run, making his way to the banks of the Green River. Witnesses reported seeing Joseph jump into the cold, fast-moving water and swim towards the middle of the river. Tragically, he was seen going under the surface and did not reappear. An extensive search of the river was conducted by divers, but no sign of Joseph was found. The river, known for being murky and filled with submerged logs and debris, presented significant challenges to the search efforts. At the time of his disappearance, Joseph was 5'6" tall and weighed 135 pounds. He has a distinct physical feature of three small scars on his right eyebrow. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. The Tukwila Police Department has been handling the investigation into Joseph's disappearance. Despite the circumstances, there was initial hope that he might have managed to get out of the river and escape. However, as time has passed without any contact or new leads, that hope has faded. The official classification of his case is listed as "Lost/Injured Missing." Joseph is presumed to have drowned, but his body has never been recovered, leaving his family and community without closure. His case serves as a heartbreaking reminder of a young life cut short under tragic and unresolved circumstances.
