On a late November day in 2023, fifteen-year-old Lorenzo Hendrix vanished from his home in Tukwila, Washington. He was last seen on November 24th, having left his residence for reasons that remain unknown to authorities. In the days that followed, his father’s attempts to reach him on his cellphone were unsuccessful, deepening the family's concern. The Tukwila Police Department, in partnership with the Washington State Patrol's Missing and Unidentified Persons Unit, launched an investigation into his disappearance. Lorenzo was classified as an endangered missing juvenile, a designation that underscored the urgency of the efforts to find him. The family’s anxiety was briefly interrupted on December 11, 2023, when Lorenzo's father received a text message from his son's phone that simply read, "I'm okay." Hope for a resolution was quickly diminished, however, as Lorenzo did not respond to any further messages from his father. Soon after, the phone line was disconnected, severing the only known line of communication and plunging his loved ones back into a state of uncertainty. At the time of his disappearance, Lorenzo was described as a Black and Hispanic male, standing between 5'9" and 5'11" and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, with a distinctive check mark-shaped scar on his forehead near his hairline. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black hoodie. Fortunately, this period of distress for Lorenzo's family and community has come to a close. Lorenzo Hendrix has been located and is no longer considered a missing person. While the specific details and date of his recovery have not been made public, the confirmation that he is alive has brought immense relief. The case, which began with a young boy leaving home under unclear circumstances and included a brief, cryptic message before all contact was lost, has now been resolved. The extensive efforts by law enforcement and the community's concern have concluded with a positive outcome.
