Elnora Charles, a 62-year-old grandmother, was last seen in Tucson, Arizona, on November 15, 2007. On that day, she and her son picked up her cream-colored 1980 Chevrolet Caprice from a towing company and returned to her home around 5:00 p.m. Later that evening, her vehicle was reportedly seen on the road, but it is unconfirmed if she was the one driving.
At the time of her disappearance, Elnora was described as a Black female, between 5'1' and 5'3' tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. She had black hair, brown eyes, and a scar on her right cheek. She was last seen wearing a black dress with a red floral print.
Two days after she was last seen, on November 17, 2007, a hiker discovered Elnora's Chevrolet Caprice abandoned on a dirt road near Incinerator Ridge on Mount Lemmon. Some of her personal belongings, including her keys, purse, and shoes, were found near the vehicle. There have been conflicting reports about whether blood was found inside the car. Family members expressed that it was uncharacteristic of Elnora to have driven up the mountain, leading them to believe someone else may have left her car there. The Pima County Sheriff's Office conducted a search of the area but found no sign of Elnora.
The Tucson Police Department is investigating Elnora's disappearance, and her case remains unsolved. Although police have stated there is no evidence of foul play, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are unsettling.
