In the spring of 2009, a young man named Victor Cruz Sanchez, known to some as Chuckie, disappeared from his life in Abbeville, Alabama. At 25 years old, he was a contract laborer, known for being reliable and consistently showing up for work. His sudden failure to appear for a job was uncharacteristic and immediately raised concern.
