Laura Vogel, a 43-year-old woman, was last seen on February 21, 2010, in the Pauwela Lighthouse area near Haiku, Maui, Hawaii. She was camping alone in the area, which she had visited before but had never stayed overnight. Vogel's last known communication was a text message sent to a friend that evening, mentioning she was "camped down the way from birthing pools and meeting all the locals." After that, she stopped responding to messages, which was unusual for her.
