On a summer evening in 1972, 23-year-old Barbara Ann Hilton told her parents she was going to a movie with friends and left her home in Montrose, Illinois. She was never seen by her family again. That night, she was wearing a purple, floor-length 'grannie' or 'hippie' style sundress and sandals, and carrying an oversized purse.
