Maria Reyes, 49, was last seen on March 19, 1976, in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey. She was reported missing by a friend on March 22, 1976, after she failed to attend a doctor's appointment. At the time, Maria was suffering from cancer and had recently undergone a mastectomy. Due to her weak condition, investigators doubted her ability to pack her belongings and leave, as her husband Hernan Reyes claimed.
