Richard Lloyd Barnett, a 42-year-old man from Galveston, Texas, was last seen on April 5, 1982, after being released from jail. He had been arrested on April 3, 1982, but following his release two days later, he made an attempt to contact someone by phone, but left no message. After this brief phone call, Barnett was never seen or heard from again.
