Clinton Carroll Lewis, 44, was last seen on February 2, 1988, in Sadler, Texas. He disappeared under mysterious circumstances, and his vehicle was later found in Texarkana, Texas, being driven by another individual. The man driving the car claimed that Lewis had loaned it to him, but Lewis's family insisted this was out of character and that he would never have lent his car to anyone. This inconsistency has raised suspicions about foul play.
