Carl Edward Brennick, a 31-year-old from Poway, California, went missing on July 28, 1992, during a scuba diving expedition. Brennick and his friend, Scott Lansiger, were diving in a deep-sea canyon at La Jolla Shores with the goal of descending to 250 feet—depths not recommended even for expert divers.
