Douglas G. Depue, 33, was last seen on November 1, 1997, while fishing alone on Seneca Lake, near Watkins Glen, New York. He was spotted at around 10:30 a.m. in his Lund Bass boat. However, two hours later, at 12:30 p.m., his boat was found drifting approximately three miles north of Watkins Glen, near Hector Falls, with no sign of Douglas aboard. His pickup truck and boat trailer were later located at the Watkins Glen Village boat launch.
