Thomas Krnak, a 21-year-old from Helenville, Wisconsin, disappeared along with his parents, Allen and Donna Krnak, on July 2, 1998. The family was last seen as they prepared to leave for their cabin in Waushara County for the July 4th weekend. Their truck was found abandoned in a forest near Reedsburg, Wisconsin, a week later, but there were no signs of the family or their dog, and the truck had been wiped clean of fingerprints.
In 1999, Allen's remains were discovered in North Carolina, where he had died from blunt force trauma. Alongside his body, authorities found a woman’s t-shirt, men’s briefs, Donna’s wedding ring, and the remains of a dog, which was believed to be the family pet. However, neither Donna nor Thomas were found, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
Suspicion quickly turned to Thomas's brother, Derek Anderson (formerly Andrew Krnak), who was the last person to see the family alive. Anderson, who had a troubled relationship with his father, was later convicted of Allen’s murder in 2006. Authorities suspect that Anderson may also have been responsible for Donna and Thomas's deaths, but their bodies have never been found.
Despite Anderson's conviction, the case remains unsolved regarding Thomas and Donna's disappearances, and authorities believe their remains could be somewhere between Wisconsin and North Carolina.Last Seen: Jul 6, 1998
