Donna Krnak, 52, went missing on July 2, 1998, along with her husband, Allen, and their son, Thomas, from Helenville, Wisconsin. The family was reportedly headed to their cabin in Coloma, Wisconsin, for the 4th of July weekend. Their older son, Derek Anderson, who legally changed his name from Andrew Krnak, reported them missing several days later.
A week after their disappearance, the family’s truck was found abandoned near Reedsburg, Wisconsin, with no fingerprints or luggage, and no trace of the family or their dog, who had also gone missing with them. In 1999, Allen's remains were discovered in North Carolina along with Donna's wedding ring and the remains of their dog. Authorities believe the family met with foul play, and Derek was later convicted of his father’s murder, though Donna and Thomas’s bodies have never been found.
