The truck had its keys in the ignition and post-it notes detailing Bierman's tasks scattered on the dashboard.
Despite a thorough search of the surrounding area, including the riverbank, no trace of Bierman was ever found.
Bierman lived alone, and several days passed before he was reported missing. Groceries with a receipt dated close to his disappearance were discovered at his home, furthering the mystery.
