James Vincent Bierman, a 28-year-old man, was last seen on February 22, 1999, in Felton, California. He called in sick to his job at Citizens Utility that morning but was never heard from again. His white truck was found abandoned shortly after his disappearance near the San Lorenzo River, parked at a location where he had previously done emergency pipe repairs.
