In the spring of 2005, concern began to grow for 43-year-old Tina Raye Wilson, a resident of Whitehall, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Tina lived an independent life, working at a local Wendy's restaurant where she was known for her reliability. The last confirmed contact with Tina was a phone call she made to a rental store. In that call, she arranged for the pickup of a television she had been renting. When employees from the rental store arrived at her apartment later that day, they discovered that both Tina and the television were gone. Adding to the mystery, her cat was also missing. Her mother, after not hearing from her for approximately three weeks, officially reported her missing to the Whitehall Police Department. Upon investigation, police found no signs of a struggle or forced entry at Tina's apartment. Curiously, while Tina, her television, and her cat were gone, all of her other personal belongings, including her car and wallet, were left behind. She had also not collected her final paycheck from her job at Wendy's, an act that was considered out of character for the dependable employee. Inside her home, investigators noted some unusual items, including a clean knife left on her bed, books about witchcraft, and a burned candle. It was known that Tina was a practicing Wiccan, but it remains undetermined if her spiritual beliefs played any role in her disappearance. Years have passed without any significant leads to solve the mystery of what happened to Tina Raye Wilson. Her Social Security number has not been used, and her driver's license has not been renewed. A potential break in the case emerged when serial killer Shawn Grate claimed to have killed a woman in 2005 and disposed of her remains in Marion County. A composite sketch of the unidentified victim bore a resemblance to Tina, but DNA testing ultimately ruled her out as the victim. Described as a white female with red hair and blue eyes, standing 5'8" and weighing around 140 pounds, Tina has several distinct tattoos: a rose on each breast and a black panther on her right shoulder. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance, including the missing television and cat, contrasted with her abandoned car and personal items, continue to perplex investigators and her loved ones, leaving her case an unsolved and troubling enigma.
