Piotr Drabik, a 34-year-old Polish scientist, went missing on September 1, 2006, while visiting Hawaii. He was last seen at Edmonton Airport in Canada, where he told a friend he was flying to Hawaii for a solo hiking trip in the mountains and planned to return on September 8. After arriving in Honolulu, Drabik took a flight to Kauai but has not been seen or heard from since.
