Ernest Schmidt, a 66-year-old man from St. Augustine Beach, Florida, was last seen on June 3, 2007. He had been at the beach near Mary Street, following a disagreement with his wife of 44 years. Around 3:00 p.m., Schmidt walked away, heading north along the beach. He was not carrying any personal items such as a wallet, phone, or keys at the time. His wife reported him missing at 5:00 p.m. after he failed to return.
