Vickie Ellington, a 53-year-old businesswoman from Kosciusko, Mississippi, disappeared on January 27, 2011. On that day, she had told friends via text that she was heading to meet someone in Louisville, a nearby town about an hour away. However, after failing to hear from her, friends grew concerned and began searching for her. Vickie's Chevrolet Suburban was later found in the parking lot of a Walmart in Louisville, with her purse still inside the vehicle.
Surveillance footage from the Walmart showed Ellington parking her SUV and walking toward a McDonald's and Taco Bell before leaving the camera’s range. This was the last confirmed sighting of her. Despite extensive searches and investigations, including reviewing surveillance footage and combing the area near her home, no significant leads were found, and her case remains unsolved.
Vickie, who was the guardian of her 8-year-old grandson, owned a gym and was well-known in her community. Her disappearance remains one of Mississippi's most puzzling cold cases.
