On May 29, 1976, a 26-year-old man named Daniel Richard Poirier was last seen in Marshfield, Massachusetts. He had embarked on a boating trip with his girlfriend and another couple, and it is believed that they were involved in a tragic accident on the water. While the remains of two of the individuals were eventually recovered, the fate of Daniel Poirier and his girlfriend, Elaine Kwiatkowski, has remained a painful mystery for their families for decades.
