Mark VanNest, a 26-year-old man, disappeared on July 18, 1984, along with Kenneth Antolino while flying a single-engine Cessna 172 from Nantucket, Massachusetts. The plane, with no filed flight plan, was bound for New Jersey but never reached its destination.
