On November 13, 1980, a fishing trip off the coast of North Carolina marked the beginning of a lasting mystery for the families of two young men. Ted Haywood Wall, 21 years old, and his close friend and fellow commercial fisherman, Harold Jeffrey Mays, age 21, were last seen that afternoon aboard Mays' 23-foot Sea Ox boat.
