Janel Peters Missing Person Case

Janel Irene Peters, aged 20, went missing from Valinda, California, on January 29, 1981. She was last seen around 11:30 p.m. after spending the evening on a date with a friend. Peters was reportedly walking westbound from her friend's home on Double Grove Street when she disappeared. It was uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning, and authorities suspect foul play in her case.

At the time of her disappearance, Peters was wearing a white long-sleeved sweater, light blue slacks, and platform shoes. She had several distinctive features, including a small bird tattoo on her left breast, a mole on her right cheek, and pierced ears. She also had diabetes and required daily insulin injections, further raising concerns for her well-being.

Despite the passage of time, her case remains unsolved. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate, and anyone with information is urged to contact them.
