Maria Loida Tice, a 60-year-old woman, was last seen on February 13, 2021, while hiking in the Angeles National Forest in California. She had joined a group for the strenuous hike up the Iron Mountain Trail, which is considered one of the most challenging in the area. Tice was last spotted by other hikers between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., nearing the summit of Iron Mountain. Unfortunately, she did not return, and after her disappearance, an extensive search involving multiple rescue teams failed to locate her.
Her vehicle was found at the Heaton Flats parking lot, the starting point for the hike, but no other clues were discovered. Tice is described as being 5'4" tall, weighing 130 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She also wears glasses and was carrying hiking poles. Her family and authorities are deeply concerned for her safety, but despite large-scale search efforts, no signs of her have been found. Tice's disappearance remains classified as lost or injured during the hike.
