Charles Detweilder Allen, a 24-year-old man, was last seen on October 21, 1985, in Arcata, California. At the time of his disappearance, he was reported to be in a distressed mental state and may have been carrying a handgun. Allen stood 5'10", weighed around 140 pounds, and had black hair and brown eyes. A longtime friend reported him missing on November 4, 1985, after he had not been heard from for several days.
