Francisco Javier Sanchez, 38, was last seen on April 30, 1992, near his apartment on West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. He was a recent immigrant from Guatemala living with his family. His disappearance occurred on the second day of the Los Angeles Riots, a period marked by widespread looting, arson, and violence following the acquittal of police officers in the Rodney King trial.
Over the course of the riots, 53 people were killed, but it remains unclear whether Francisco's disappearance is directly related to the chaotic events.
Despite extensive searches and investigations, Francisco was never heard from again, and he did not pick up his last paycheck. There has been little evidence to determine what happened to him. He was 5'9" tall, weighed between 135 and 155 pounds, and may have had facial hair at the time of his disappearance. Francisco may have used the alias "Javier Sanchez Ramos."
