Robert Patrick Picard, aged 37, was last seen on September 30, 1997, in Bunnell, Florida. He lived alone in a trailer on County Road 2006 and was reported missing by his landlord after he failed to perform promised work and stopped paying rent. Concerned, the landlord sent her son and grandson to check on him, where they found his bicycle outside, the trailer in disarray, and a large amount of blood inside.
Marijuana plants were also discovered growing in the trailer, suggesting that Picard was involved in drug-related activities.
A week prior to his disappearance, Picard's trailer had been burglarized by a group that included the landlord's 15-year-old grandson, who was later convicted for the break-in. Authorities believe Picard was likely murdered inside his home, with his body possibly being disposed of in a nearby lake. Despite multiple investigations and leads, including new evidence uncovered in 2014, Picard's remains have never been found, and his case remains unsolved.
