Emma Lee Carroll, an 83-year-old woman from Pembroke, Georgia, went missing on July 18, 2009. Carroll, who suffered from dementia and hypertension, wandered away from her home on Carroll Crossing Road and was never seen again. On the day of her disappearance, her daughter had left the house at 6:00 p.m. to run an errand, but when she returned two hours later, Carroll was gone, and the front door was open. Despite an extensive search of the surrounding area, no trace of her was found.
