In the late summer of 2009, a young woman named Maria Quizhpe Guaman, aged 21, vanished while journeying through the Arizona desert. On August 19, 2009, she was last seen in Pima County, Arizona. Maria, a Hispanic female with black hair and brown eyes, stood between 4'10' and 5'0' tall and weighed between 100 and 120 pounds. She was traveling with a group of migrants with the hope of reaching Phoenix.
