Tracy Lynn Winslow, a 30-year-old mother of three, disappeared from Oil City, Louisiana, leaving behind a community searching for answers. On the night she was last seen, she had enjoyed an evening out with friends, returning to her mother's apartment in the 100 block of North Dickey Street around midnight. Witnesses later reported hearing her talking outside the residence before the sound of a car speeding away broke the quiet of the night. At the time of her disappearance, she was believed to be wearing a white t-shirt, a blue denim jacket, blue jeans, and white sneakers. Her physical description notes she has a burn scar near her left eye and several tattoos, including a flower with a name on her upper left arm, and the names "Biscuit" and/or "Eddie" on her right leg. The initial hours of Tracy's disappearance were marked by a disturbing discovery that pointed toward a violent encounter. Around 2:30 a.m., her silver 2006 Dodge Charger was found abandoned and completely engulfed in flames on the side of a road near North Lakeshore and Kuhn's Road in Shreveport. The location of the burned-out car was a significant distance from her home, intensifying the fears of her family and law enforcement. The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office was alerted to her disappearance by her concerned family at approximately 6:00 a.m. that same morning, launching an investigation into what was immediately suspected to be a case of foul play. As investigators delved into Tracy's life, their focus soon turned to her ex-boyfriend, Eddie Lee "Biscuit" Jackson. The couple had been together for fifteen years and had three children, but their relationship had ended about two months prior to her vanishing. Evidence, including cell phone records that placed Jackson in the area where the car was found, led to his arrest just days after Tracy went missing. He was subsequently charged with second-degree kidnapping and arson. During his trial in the summer of 2012, harrowing testimony emerged. Two of their children recounted witnessing their father beat their mother with a gun and threaten her life, an event that led to their separation. A cousin also testified about threatening text messages Tracy had received from Jackson. In August 2012, a jury found Eddie Jackson guilty on all counts, and he was sentenced to forty years in prison without the possibility of parole. Despite the conviction, the case remains an open wound for her loved ones as Tracy's body has never been found. The investigation into her disappearance is a somber reminder of a life cut short, leaving a family to grapple with the pain of not knowing her ultimate fate.
