On May 31, 2011, a 40-year-old man named Manuel Gustavo Lozano-Contreras vanished near Lukeville, Arizona. He was reportedly in the process of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border on foot when all contact was lost. At the time, Lozano-Contreras was described as a Hispanic male, standing between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 145 to 155 pounds.
