Guadalupe Juarez-Figueroa, a 57-year-old man from Fort Myers, Florida, was last seen on December 8, 2011, when he left his home around 2:00 p.m. in a dark blue and silver 2000 Ford Econoline E150 van. He intended to drive over 1,200 miles to Austin, Texas, to visit his son and was expected to arrive on December 12. However, he never made it to his destination.
Juarez-Figueroa last communicated with his fiancée on December 11, 2011, at around 11:00 p.m., when he informed her that he was staying at a Motel 6 in Brownsville, Texas, which is about 350 miles from Austin. Motel staff later confirmed that he had stayed there and checked out the next morning, but he has not been heard from since. His family and authorities have been unable to trace his whereabouts, and his vehicle, bearing the Florida tag ADQF55, has also never been recovered.
At the time of his disappearance, Juarez-Figueroa was described as being 5'3" tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He had distinctive features, including a mustache, eyeglasses, and a missing fingertip on his left hand.
