Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP15618) and 2 other sources
Heng-Yu Zhou, a 34-year-old man from Diamond Bar, California, went missing on July 5, 2012. That morning, he left his home on Cottonwood Lane around 6 a.m., presumably headed to work. However, Zhou never arrived at his workplace and was never heard from again. His family reported him missing, deeply concerned over his sudden disappearance.

Authorities later found his vehicle, a gray 2011 Cadillac SRX, abandoned in Whittier, California, on July 15, ten days after he was last seen. Despite the discovery of his vehicle, there were no additional clues to indicate his whereabouts or what might have happened to him. Zhou's case has remained unsolved, with few leads emerging over the years. His family and investigators continue to appeal to the public for any information that might help solve the mystery of his disappearance.

Zhou is described as an Asian male, 5'7" tall, weighing 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a scar on his forehead and typically wore glasses. His nickname was "Joe," and he sometimes used the name "Hengyu Zhou." Authorities classify his case as endangered missing, and any information related to his disappearance is being handled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Despite the time that has passed, his case remains open, and investigators continue to seek tips from the public.
