In the late summer of 2012, in Catawba County, North Carolina, a sense of unease settled over the family of Kenneth Mohler, a 70-year-old man from Granite Falls. On the evening of August 17th, Kenneth, a maintenance employee at Gregory Wood Products in Newton, had been called in to repair a water line. Around 7:30 p.m., he texted his wife to let her know he was waiting for some glue to dry and would be home soon.
