Joseph Michael Gutierrez, a 15-year-old boy from Detroit, Michigan, went missing on September 3, 1983, while camping with his friend, Christopher Jedra, in Sanborn Township near Lake Huron. The two boys were dropped off by Christopher's parents for an overnight camping trip near South Point.
