Thomas O'Connor, age 33, went missing on July 12, 1996, while sailing from New Baltimore to Alpena, Michigan. During the trip, O'Connor and his companions encountered rough waters on Lake Huron. It is believed that O'Connor fell overboard approximately 11 miles north of Port Austin. Despite efforts to locate him, he was never found, and his case remains unresolved. Authorities continue to seek information about his disappearance, hoping to uncover what happened on that day.
